ABO ERG Environnement

expert in pollution risk management and hydraulic risks

Who are we?

risks related to soil, subsoil and water. Founded in 1976, ERG (Études et Recherches Géologiques) specialised in geotechnics. Then, in the early 1990s, when soil pollution and water management began to hamper land use, ERG drew on its expertise in soil investigation techniques, geology and hydrogeology to provide solutions to our clients, who were increasingly demanding in terms of environmental issues. This marked the birth of ERG Environnement alongside ERG Géotechnique. A subsidiary of ABO GROUP France since 1999, ABO ERG Environnement is now one of the major players in this market at the national level.

Our areas of expertise

ABO ERG Environnement is structured around two main areas of expertise, bringing together perfectly complementary skills and services.

Polluted sites and soils:

• Pollution diagnosis (historical study, vulnerability study, investigations of different environments)
• Management Plan (MP) and Work Design Plan (WDP)
• Quantitative Health Risk Assessment (QHRA) / Residual Risk Analysis (RRA)
• Site supervision / project management assistance / project management
• Monitoring of environments (groundwater, surface water, etc.)
• Regulatory certificates for building permits (ATTES ALUR)
• Regulatory certificates for cessation of ICPE (ATTES SECUR, ATTES MEMOIRE, ATTES TRAVAUX)

Water management:

• Runoff water management (diagnosis, proposal for hydraulic developments with prioritisation of alternative techniques, runoff mapping – study of soil de-impermeabilisation)
• Hydrology and consideration of climate change
• Regulatory files: – Water Act – Environmental authorisation file – Environmental assessment (impact study) – Case-by-case examination prior to carrying outan environmental assessment – ICPE file
• River hydraulics – Hydrology and 1D, 1D coupled with 2D, and 2D modelling – Determination of flood zones (height, speed, hazard) – Bank reinforcement – Contribution to the design of engineering structures (scour depth)
• Restoration and renaturation of watercourses (hydromorphology, equilibrium profile, re-meandering)
• Non-collective sanitation (field investigation and feasibility study)
• Metrology
• Flood protection: – Hydraulic structures – Dykes and dams

Proximity and responsiveness

With a team of more than 50 people (engineers and technicians) and 10 locations in addition to its headquarters in La Seyne-sur-Mer, ABO ERG Environnement operates throughout France to assist you in the management of contaminated sites and soils, as well as water management.
