Aubert & Duval has entrusted ABO-ERG ENVIRONNEMENT with the task of providing project management assistance for the establishment of an ERS/IEM (health risk assessment incorporating an interpretation of the environmental conditions) for the existing ANCIZES plant (63), covering an area of 60 ha, which develops and processes high-performance alloy steels, alloys and superalloys.
The tasks carried out by ABO-ERG ENVIRONNEMENT and its partner NUMTECH consisted, in accordance with a progressive and iterative approach in line with national methodology, of:
Assessment of the facility's emissions with qualitative emission flow balances (realistic and maximum estimates),
Assessment of issues and exposure pathways,
Interpretation of the State of the Environment (IEM) based in particular on studies already carried out on the site and available data, as well as additional soil measurements.,
Prospective health risk assessment (PHRA), incorporating the use of the ADMS 5 model to account for the dispersion of substances emitted into the atmosphere by the facilities studied.
Simulation of dispersion and use of results for exposure characterisation and prospective health risk assessment.
Assessment of uncertainties to evaluate confidence in results and the impact on results of factors that are likely to vary.
