Development of a Management Plan and a Work Design Plan. (Chromium VI pollution in soil and groundwater in fractured environments)

PMA is a company specialising in surface treatment. It operates a chrome plating workshop on a 2-hectare site in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille. In 2013, coloured water was found inside the Soulat railway tunnel. This structure is located 1.5 km west of the site, about 40 metres below it. Analysis of this water shows contamination with chromium.

Since this discovery, PMA has launched a series of studies, supervised by DREAL (latest AP 20108 83 / PC dated 20/04/2018). The owner wishes to sell this workshop and has begun the sale process under the third-party applicant formula.

In this context, he entrusted ABO-ERG with:
– Determination of the vertical and horizontal extensions of polluted areas,
– Determining the impact of this pollution at a distance from the site,
– Assessment of the costs of cleaning up the site to enable its use as office space
