SUSTAINABLE ENGINEERING ATTENTIVE TO SOILS and ecosystems
As part of its GEMAPI responsibilities, the Aygues Ouvèze en Provence Community of Municipalities (84) has entrusted ABO-ERG ENVIRONNEMENT with the conducting a hydraulic study overall assessment of the Rieu Foyro catchment area in order to establish a programme of flood control measures.
ABO-ERG ENVIRONNEMENT proposed updating the hydrological and 2D hydraulic modelling (area of 30 km², linear length of 48.6 km) to observe the consequences of flooding of the Rieu Foyro and its main tributaries on the municipalities of Piolenc and Uchaux (floods of occurrences 2, 5, 10, 20,
30, 50 and 100 years).
After detailing the results and diagnosing the vulnerability of the area, a development programme (preliminary draft stage) was proposed in consultation with the project owner.
