The project under consideration involves the restructuring of a commercial premises (a building with a ground floor and flat roof, no basement, measuring approximately 35 m²), by adding a 35 m² basement level and the addition of a ground floor plus first floor of approximately 70 m² (designed as a cantilever above an existing adjoining building).
As part of this study, a deep pressuremeter test was carried out, along with a core drilling test with permeability testing and equipped with a piezometer, dynamic penetration tests, and a foundation reconnaissance survey.
Surveys revealed the presence of shallow fill, overlying very loose silty-sandy soils to a depth of 19 metres, followed by compact gneissic bedrock, but weathered at the top. In addition, an aquifer at a depth of 0.9 metres was identified.
– Hydrogeological study to define notable water levels
NPPHE,
– Dimensioning of a permanent wall made of intersecting micropiles, y
including verification that the excavation base has not been damaged by lifting
hydraulic-boulance or solid fox,
– Dimensioning of deep foundations of the micropile type,
– Estimation of pumping flow rates during the provisional phase.
