Reopening of the Rhône Right Bank line to SNCF passenger services

Water law section of the Environmental Authorisation File

As part of the project to reopen the RdR line to passenger service (9 stations, 2 departments), SNCF has entrusted ABO-ERG ENVIRONNEMENT with the implementation of the water law component of the project's Environmental Authorisation File.
ABO ERG first established the regulatory framework for the project and assessed its main challenges in terms of the water component of the EIA. A meeting with the DDTM then confirmed the technical and regulatory aspects of the project.
The product file (sections 2.1.5.0 and 3.2.2.0) also aimed to justify the prior existence of the stations with regard to Article R.214-53 of the Environment Code, to determine the size of the rainwater management structures and to study the impact of the planned developments on the flood risk in the areas.
Finally, ABO ERG assists the project owner in responding to requests for additional information from the DDTM during the review of the application.
