Project:

The project under consideration involves replacing a leased section and reinforcing the quays.
existing ones and the construction of new floating pontoons, dolphins and a station
refuelling.

Geotechnical investigations:

As part of this study, core sampling and borehole sampling were carried out.
Pressiometric and permeability tests at sea (pontoon piles, dolphins, pan) and at
existing quays in order to determine their geometry in particular. Tests of
shear tests were carried out in the laboratory on soil samples from the site in order to determine the dimensions.

Geotechnical and hydrogeological context:

Surveys revealed the presence of vases on top of stiff clays, then
compact marls.

Dimensioned geotechnical structures:

– Foundations for floating pontoons, supplies, leased land and dolphins (metal piles driven into the sea),
– Reinforcement of existing quays (self-supporting sheet piles, tensioned sheet piles, Combiwall, reinforced concrete walls),
– Mooring buoys (floating pontoons),
– Foundations for underground concrete structures (rainwater structures, hydraulic separators).
