DEVELOPMENT OF THE MUSINENS DISTRICT

Analysis of hydrogeological constraints for the construction of underground basements

Hydrogeological study

Hydrogeological study to estimate characteristic levels and flood discharge rates during the construction phase

In April 2024, ABO-ERG conducted a hydrogeological study with a view to redeveloping the Musinens neighbourhood in the municipality of Valserhône (01).
This study was conducted in parallel with a geotechnical study carried out at the G1-G2-AVP stage.
This project included the construction of five separate lots, each comprising basements with footprints ranging from 2,100 to 3,700 m².
After analysing the hydrogeological data, it became apparent that most of the structures intersected, either frequently or occasionally, an aquifer present at the level of the limestone formations.
In this sense, the objectives of this study were to:
· Present the geological and hydrogeological context of the site,
· Specify the hydrodynamic characteristics of the formations encountered and potentially affected by the project.,
· Estimate the characteristic groundwater levels at the site,
· Assess the drainage flow rates and the range of pumping operations associated with the proposed water level reduction solutions.,
· Present the administrative context related to the project.
