For over 40 years, ABO-ERG Geotechnics (subsidiary of ABO Group France) is an independent engineering consultancy renowned for its expertise in geotechnics, hydrogeology and hydrology/hydraulics, contaminated sites and soils. Its strong growth has enabled it to build a team of complementary scientific specialists who deal with all issues related to soil and subsoil.

 

Under the responsibility of the Agency Manager and in collaboration with engineers, the tasks assigned to you will contribute to ensuring the reliability of the field data acquisitions necessary for the successful completion of our studies for major players in the industry.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Preparation of survey sites: DICT (declaration of intention to commence works), site layout, site surveys, access authorisation requests, etc.
- Monitoring excavation work using mechanical shovels
• Conducting on-site tests: pumping tests, infiltration tests, water tests (slug test, hydraulic shock), plate tests, deflection tests, light penetrometer, concrete and asphalt coring, nail pull-out tests, etc.
• Monitoring, readings and management of piezometric level recorders or other devices (inclinometers, settlement meters, etc.)
• Analysis of cuts and tests
- Geological surveys of simple slopes, detailed description of core samples taken by our teams
• Compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) procedures and rules within the agency and during field operations

We are looking for :

With a degree in geology or earth science, you will have 3 to 5 years' successful experience in a field-oriented role.

Valid driving licence required.

To fully perform these duties, you must be highly self-reliant, organised and able to manage your priorities.

With excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine flair for communication, you are able to act as a liaison between clients, survey teams and engineers.

Remuneration:

Attractive salary based on experience (37-hour week with 12 days’ RTT), holiday pay, individual performance bonus, profit-sharing and incentive schemes, mobile phone and computer, possibility of relocation support

Licence:

Class B licence
