{"id":6706,"date":"2026-07-07T14:58:51","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T14:58:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abo-group-france.fr\/?p=6706"},"modified":"2026-07-09T15:16:50","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T15:16:50","slug":"detection-nuclear-facilities-civil-engineering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abo-group-france.fr\/en\/detection-darmatures-nucleaire-genie-civil\/","title":{"rendered":"Reinforcement detection and nuclear applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ABO Innog\u00e9o carries out reinforcement detection for nuclear and civil engineering structures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 7 July 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo-group-france.fr\/en\/innogeo-geophysics-subsidiary\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.abo-group-france.fr\/filiale-innogeo-geophysique\/\">our teams specialising in geophysics<\/a> were present at the ITER Meetings in Aix-en-Provence to showcase this expertise, developed over long periods, such as on the Flamanville EPR (over a period of four years) or the RJH \u2013 the Jules Horowitz Research Reactor, in collaboration with Clemessy (for over five years).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A structural radar using electromagnetic waves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our structural radar uses electromagnetic waves to detect reinforcement and elements embedded in concrete, as well as irregularities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Measurements are carried out continuously on site by moving a measuring antenna over the area to be monitored:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>along regularly spaced parallel profiles,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or using a grid of longitudinal and transverse profiles for 3D visualisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The benefits of structural radar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reflections from the interfaces, reinforcements and heterogeneities present in the examined element form an image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This image is displayed on the radar control screen as the antenna moves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detected reinforcement can be marked on site or processed in the design office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The results are presented in the form of a table of reinforcement specifications and a reinforcement plan, or as a reinforcement map.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CEFRI E Certification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2021, ABO Innog\u00e9o has been CEFRI E-certified \u2013 a radiation protection management system \u2013 which means that our teams are authorised to carry out work in the presence of ionising radiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This certification ensures that our staff have a safe working environment and that the risks associated with our services are constantly managed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ABO Innog\u00e9o r\u00e9alise la d\u00e9tection d\u2019armatures pour les ouvrages nucl\u00e9aires \u2013 et de g\u00e9nie civil.
